ENLIGHTENMENT on a Summer Morning

Summer is one of my favorite seasons, but then why not, i live in San Diego, CA and the weather is 95% of time absolutely ideal.  Today is no exception, the morning marine layer has cleared and there is a cool delightful breeze whisking at my checks and tasseling my hair, as i watch the dragon flies circling my fish pond and the hummingbirds taking their morning bath in the bird bath/fountain, you can hear in the background the noise of civilization doing their monday tasks and it all just melts into a feeling of what a great day this is. Knowing that there is wash to be done, bills to be paid, vacuuming the living room that you have looked at now for a week and it is still needing it, errands to run, this blog to develop, the pump in the pond needs to be checked; none of this matters right now, right this special time i have with nature and the peace and empowerment it brings to me to enjoy these simple pleasures of life. I love to watch the dragon flies dive bomb my automatic sprinkler, called scarecrow, when they do it of course squirts them and they just love it…..so poor scarecrow just squirts and squirts…..then when i turn it off…..the dragon flies wonder what happened to their fun…..and dive bomb the pond even harder……what fun!!!
